Toolkit for Data Scientists and Entrepreneurs -– Beginner and Advanced

Friday 10/25 and Saturday 10/26, 9:00 AM —- 4:30 PM

NYU Center for Urban Science and Progress (CUSP) 1 MetroTech Center (National Grid building) 19th floor Brooklyn, NY

We’re partnering with Software Carpentry, for our first educational event. Software Carpentry instructors will be providing a 2 day workshop which will cover command line, version control with git, Python, and SQL. The class will be split into advanced and beginner groups: advanced will be held at Columbia and beginner will be held at NYU. These are awesome classes (and free) so join if you can.

Because this is a facilitated course there are a limited number of seats. If event registration is full, consider volunteering – we need 4 volunteers to assist with logistics/setup and troubleshooting Windows installation issues with git-bash installers. If you are interested in volunteering, please send an email to polina.viro@gmail.com and mawilson14@gsb.columbia.edu.
