Eileen joined the Data Science Institute as the Financial Coordinator in January 2015. She works closely with the Business Manager assisting with grants management and the day-to-day financial needs of the Department.
Eileen started at Columbia University in 2012 as the Administrative Assistant in the Earth and Environmental Engineering Department. In 2013, she assumed the role as the EEE Department's Financial Assistant. Prior to joining Columbia University, she spent two years as a College Assistant in the Psychology Department at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, while working towards earning a BA/MA in Forensic Psychology. During her time at John Jay, she began volunteering with the Prisoner Reentry Institute and the Prison to College Pipeline Program, promoting education opportunities for current and formerly incarcerated individuals in order to reduce recidivism and to allow for a more successful reintegration experience for both the individual and society.
Eileen is an avid animal lover, and a lifelong fan of both the New York Knicks and the New York Yankees. One of eighteen children, she enjoys spending quality time with her many siblings, their children (human and canine), and her dogs, Tyson Chandler and Carmelo Anthony.
