As generative AI becomes more integrated into higher education, instructors play a vital role in coaching students to use it thoughtfully and critically. This hands-on workshop explores strategies for developing students’ AI literacy – both in evaluating AI output and in using AI feedback to deepen learning. You’ll experiment with AI, explore frameworks for critical AI engagement, and consider how to integrate these practices into your own teaching. You’ll examine the Peer & AI + Reflection (PAIRR) process, which combines peer feedback, AI feedback, and reflection to support meaningful revision and self-assessment, and consider how it can help your students engage with AI to support their learning.
