How will AI change the way students learn math?

We will wrestle with the question in this second symposium on (Fun)damental AI and Math. The event will begin with short talks detailing innovative approaches to teaching mathematics using AI. Then, through two panel discussions we will consider in what ways AI helps versus hurts the short- and long-term learning process, and what are the implications for the future of mathematics as a research / teaching profession, and in its applications.

This event is part of the Frontiers in Data Science and AI initiative at the Data Science Institute, Columbia University.
