Join this hands-on CTL workshop to build foundational knowledge and critical skills for using generative AI in teaching and learning. This session introduces pedagogical uses of AI, including how instructors can use AI to support student learning, teach students to critique AI output, clarify course policies, and promote responsible use in the classroom.
We will define generative AI, practice applying generative AI to teaching and learning contexts, and introduce specialized tools like customizable AI chatbots and NotebookLM. Throughout, we will emphasize the capabilities and limitations of these tools, including the need to validate AI output for accuracy and bias.
