This session introduces faculty to a shared vocabulary and practical framework for responsible AI use in education and clinical contexts. Drawing from current literature participants will critically examine how AI tools perform, where they fail, and what accountability looks like at an academic institution.
During this session faculty will:
-
Define responsible AI and articulate its relevance to dental education and clinical practice.
-
Apply guiding principles to evaluate AI use in teaching and administrative contexts.
-
Detect and describe forms of bias present in AI outputs.
-
Construct responsible prompts that protect privacy and uphold institutional data governance standards.
