Setting the Tone: Communicating Your AI Expectations

A 60-minute discussion-based workshop for Columbia instructors.

This session is designed to help you articulate why you allow AI for certain tasks or why you don’t allow it at all, and how to communicate that reasoning in ways that promote trust, transparency, and learning. During the session, you will draft language to include on your syllabus, early semester talking points, and strategies that align your expectations with your course goals – whatever your approach to AI.

Unable to join us for this session? Visit our Teaching and Learning in the Age of AI page to access additional resources and videos. You can also schedule a consultation, or find other workshops on our CTL events calendar.
